Epson Europe: Our Story

Epson has always been ahead of its time. Quite literally. Founded in 1942 as a small watchmaking factory – Daiwa Kogyo Ltd. (later Seiko). The company went on to launch the EP-101 in 1968. It was the world’s first compact, lightweight digital printer from which the name Epson - the son of the EP - was born.

Epson History

Epson’s journey has been fuelled by firsts, a desire to innovate and a need to push boundaries. In fact, we’ve been doing just that for the last 50 years… and will continue to do so tomorrow. It’s not just our ambition; it’s our mission.
